Kesar Phirni

Kesar Phirni

Kesar phirni is a chilled North Indian dessert made by simmering coarsely ground basmati rice in full-fat milk until thick and creamy, then setting it in small bowls. You perfume it with premium Anveshan saffron and sweeten gently with unrefined Anveshan khandsari instead of refined sugar, finishing with cardamom and chopped nuts. Smooth, fragrant and best served cold, this festive phirni serves 4.
